Ask ChatGPT who it recommends in Athens. Is it you?
More and more customers never see a list of ten blue links. They ask an assistant, get one answer, and call whoever was named. If the AI engines do not know your business exists, you are not in the running.
We will tell you exactly where you stand, for free, and show you the specific reasons you are or are not being named.
No call required. We send the audit as a PDF, usually within three business days.
What is Generative Engine Optimization?
GEO is the work of making your business easy for AI answer engines to find, understand, trust, and cite. Those engines are ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot. Where SEO competes for a click on a results page, GEO competes for a mention inside the answer, where frequently there is no results page at all.
It is not a separate universe from SEO. Most of what convinces an AI engine to name you is what convinced Google to rank you: your business information says the same thing everywhere on the internet, your Google Business Profile is real and active, people leave you reviews, and your pages answer questions directly instead of burying the answer under a thousand words of throat-clearing.
What we will not tell you
The GEO field is young enough that a lot of agencies are selling certainty they do not have. Three things we think you deserve to hear before you spend money, ours or anyone else's:
- Schema markup alone probably will not get you cited. A 2026 Ahrefs study of 1,885 pages found little to no measurable relationship between schema markup and AI citations. We still implement it, because it helps Google understand your business and costs almost nothing to maintain. We do not sell it as magic.
- AI referral traffic is still small today. For most businesses it is a small fraction of what Google search sends, and it is growing. The reason to start now is that the work is inexpensive, it overlaps almost entirely with local SEO that pays off either way, and it is easier to become a known entity early than to displace one later.
- Nobody can guarantee a citation. Anyone who does is guessing. What we can do is make you the obvious, well-described, consistently-cited answer to the question a customer is actually asking, and then measure whether it worked.
What we actually do
Ordered by how much difference it tends to make, not by how impressive it sounds.
Fix your entity
Your name, address, phone, and hours must say the same thing on your site, your Google Business Profile, and every directory that has ever listed you. AI engines resolve conflicting information by trusting none of it. This is unglamorous and it is the single highest-yield thing on this page.
Make your Google Business Profile real
Complete categories and services, real photographs, current hours, questions answered, and a steady flow of reviews you actually responded to. Local AI answers lean heavily on this, because it is the most structured, most verified thing about a small business anywhere on the internet.
Write pages that answer the question
An AI engine can only quote you if there is something quotable. That means the answer in the first two sentences, plain headings that match how people ask, real specifics about your service area, and no padding. We rewrite your core service pages this way.
Build citations in places engines already read
Chamber listings, trade directories, local press, supplier pages, and the handful of aggregators that AI engines demonstrably lean on. Fewer, better mentions.
Add the technical layer
LocalBusiness and FAQ structured data, a clean
llms.txt, crawlable HTML, and fast pages. Necessary, cheap, and — see above — not the part that wins.Measure it monthly
We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews the same set of real customer questions every month and record whether you were named. That is the scoreboard. Everything above is in service of moving it.

Common questions
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
GEO is the practice of making a business easy for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot) to find, understand, trust, and cite. Traditional SEO tries to win a click from a results page. GEO tries to win a mention inside the answer itself, where there is often no results page at all.
Is GEO different from SEO, or just a new name for it?
They overlap heavily. Most of what makes an AI engine cite you is what made Google rank you: a consistent business identity across the web, a real Google Business Profile, genuine reviews, and pages that answer a question directly. GEO adds a few specific things, chiefly writing content so a machine can lift a clean answer out of it, and monitoring whether the AI engines actually mention you. Anyone selling GEO as a wholly separate discipline is overselling it.
How much does GEO cost?
The audit is free. If you want us to do the work, the GEO Foundations project is $1,200 one-time and ongoing GEO is $500 per month, priced for Athens-area small businesses rather than for enterprise budgets.
Will schema markup get my business cited by ChatGPT?
Probably not on its own. A 2026 Ahrefs study of 1,885 pages found adding schema had little to no measurable effect on AI citations. We implement it because it is cheap and helps Google, but the citations come from consistent business information, a strong Google Business Profile, reviews, and pages that answer real questions.
How long until AI search engines mention my business?
Expect months, not days. AI engines lean on sources they have already crawled and trust, so improvements show up as those sources are recrawled and as new reviews and citations accumulate. We re-run the same prompts every month so you can see the trend rather than guess at it.
Is it worth doing GEO now, or is it too early?
AI referral traffic is still a small fraction of what Google search sends most businesses. The honest case for acting now is not the traffic, it is that the work is cheap, it overlaps almost entirely with local SEO that pays off regardless, and being an early, well-described entity is easier than displacing an established one later.
